Unilever Continues Strategic Partnership With Pasteur Institute For 2024-2029 Phase

Unilever Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute recently held a ceremony to sign a memorandum of strategic cooperation for the period 2024-2029, aiming to contribute to Unilever's commitment to sustainable development and improving hygiene, health conditions, and overall quality of life for the people of Vietnam.

The long-term cooperation program between Unilever Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute focuses on three main objectives to enhance health and living conditions for the Vietnamese population:

• Collaborating on research and development to ensure product quality, thereby delivering the best products to consumers.
• Promoting and developing training activities, workshops, and conferences to improve community health.
• Strengthening communication and education on hygiene practices and infectious disease prevention.

Over the past two decades, Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute has effectively collaborated with Unilever Vietnam in conducting numerous research activities and quality assurance tests to ensure the quality of products reaching consumers. During this period, Unilever Vietnam has actively supported the Pasteur Institute in various training programs, conferences, and workshops aimed at improving community health. They have also donated thousands of medical products to support Covid-19 efforts and provided meaningful gifts to disadvantaged areas. Key collaborative activities include developing hygiene and handwashing messages and promoting safe drinking practices among visitors receiving care and vaccinations at the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City (2018); the "A Day as a Young Scientist" initiative to educate elementary school students in Tân An City, Bến Lức District, Long An Province on the benefits and effectiveness of handwashing with soap and clean water (2018); and expert panel discussions on "Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease Prevention - Sharing Love, Not Disease" in 2023, among others.

Building on the successes of previous phases, Unilever Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute have agreed to continue collaborating on activities to achieve their stated goals.

Both parties will conduct scientific research to continuously improve product quality. In parallel, Unilever Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute will jointly organize training programs, conferences, workshops, and public communication campaigns to educate the community on personal hygiene habits and prevent infectious diseases.
